Today the students continued working from their course booklets, the norm in all of the ACT Prep classes. The students were a bit more inquisitive today. With one more scheduled ACT Prep class, however, and considering that there has been no formal method of tracking students’ progress in the program, I’m concerned that the students might not be ready for the actual ACT test on Saturday. I expressed this concern during the Q & A segment, suggesting that students should take a practice ACT test prior to actual testing and after completion of ACT Prep.

The success coaches noted the December ACT test and another round of ACT Prep University prior to that that will consist of five Saturday sessions and online coursework via Khan Academy that will track students’ progress. I’d advise students who know that they need additional tutoring to sign up for the next session because of the online progress-tracking element…
