Hybrid/blended learning models could remedy attendance, academic, and behavioral issues, including bullying, in schools (elementary, middle, and high schools and colleges). Hybrid learning refers to online and traditional brick-and-mortar instruction, or a blend of the two. Better yet, it is essentially what we’ve meant by “personalized learning.” The name could additionally reflect the environmental friendliness of certain hybrid learning models—students are allowed to attend classes at brick-and-mortar schools from the convenience of their homes utilizing school-issued computers and mobile hotspots, presumably, thus reducing carbon emissions where vehicles utilized to transport students to and from school do not require utilization for this purpose on designated days that students would attend online.

This learning model differs from traditional online learning in that there is a brick-and-mortar school element. The great thing about hybrid/blended learning is that students are capable of meeting at their brick and mortar schools for science labs, physical education, and other projects, etc., and school meals, of course.

There are varied models of blended learning.

Hybrid/blended learning would enable students to attend school (remotely) when certain circumstances would not otherwise allow them to report to campus. It would be a wonderful method of separating bullied students from their harassers, though bullies should be formally addressed whether or not a hybrid learning model exists at any particular school.

Hybrid learners enjoy a bit of extra time at home juxtapose the opportunity to meet in person and socialize with instructors and classmates throughout the school week, which helps to promote balance in physical and emotional health.
