Never mind that no one likes sitting and waiting for trains or trolleys to dawdle by, whether or not we’re pressed for time. Trains interfere with emergency response efforts, however, and have even fatally hit pedestrians and collided with automobiles. Those spookily annoying train horns are only utilized to warn vehicular traffic of approaching locomotives…

Re-routing tracks so that they do not interfere with vehicular traffic would resolve all of these issues, save lives, time, and spare us the sound of those spooky train horns that would no more exist or be required to—there wouldn’t be a need for them.

This is in fact feasible. Consider that rapid rail trains do not interfere with vehicular or pedestrian traffic. Freight and other trains should follow the same course.
